Nearly 23 years after the last Fox body Mustang rolled off the assembly line in Dearborn, Michigan, these cars still remain wildly popular with Mustang enthusiasts. There isn’t much that hasn’t been done already with a Fox body Mustang. Engine swaps remain wildly popular, especially the Coyote and 03-04 Terminator Cobra based swaps.

To help raise money for Make A Wish, East Coast Mustangs is building a very cool and very special Fox body Mustang, and is going to give it away to one lucky fan at Mustang Week 2016. All you have to do to be eligible is call or stop by East Coast Mustangs to buy a special numbered keychain. The guys at East Coast Mustangs will then select a random number for the winner. The drawing is limited to 3,000 keychains which will cost $25 each. A small portion of the proceeds will cover parts costs to build this car, the bulk of the money will all go to Make A Wish as a donation.

Enough about the drawing, now about the car. East Coast Mustangs (ECM) is beginning with a lowly four-cylinder Fox body coupe. The car is straight and clean, and just begging to have some big horsepower dropped between the front strut towers, and ECM has a plan for that.

Powering the car will be a 2003-2004 Cobra/Terminator engine. The 35.000 mile donor engine won’t remain stock either. ECM is going to swap on a VMP TVS 2.3 supercharger to crank the power up. A Fore Innovations fuel hat will transform a 2003-2004 Cobra gas tank into a return style system that will feed gasoline up to the Fore Innovations fuel rails.

The car is already undergoing its transformation from lowly four-banger to clean, custom, Terminator power.

Taking care of things in the suspension department will be a full suite of UPR suspension parts, including front coilovers. Billstein will provide the dampers at all four corners. The car will also receive a five lug conversion to upgrade its stopping power. Out back components from Moser Engineering will fortify the 8.8 rearend, including new axles, ring and pinion, and track-lock differential.

Inside, this Mustang is receiving a major interior overhaul with new black leather seats. Other cosmetic changes to the car include filling and smoothing the holes in the engine compartment, and of course ECM will bolt on a hot set of wheels and tires.

One lucky person is going to be able to drive away from Mustang Week with one very nice, very fast, Fox body coupe.

The crew over at ECM loves cars and kids, and thought supporting Make A Wish was a great way to give something back. We can’t wait to see what kind of numbers this little coupe turns on the ECM dyno, and we have to admit we’ll be calling ECM to buy a few keychains for chances at this Mustang ourselves.

Whether you’re interested in trying to win this car, you’re looking to outfit your current project, or maybe even planning to build one just like this, East Coast Mustangs has you covered. Check out their website or give them a call for more details and information.
